In the northern part of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama exists a hidden treasure!  A wonderful community called Samantha.  Named by the first postmaster whose wife was Samantha.  Home of The Northside Rams, The Annual Legacy of Love Festival, local landmark Good Shepherd Statue and Cornerstone Retreat.

It’s a country life and southern to the core.  You won’t find much fine dining.  Well, unless you are like us and consider steaks on the grill, fresh vegetables, homemade ice cream and sweet tea or fresh squeezed lemonade fine dining.  You won’t find any art museums.  Well, unless you consider a beautiful blue sky cathedral or the most amazing sunset you have ever seen a piece of art.  You won’t find a lot of entertainment.  Well, unless you consider lots of porch sitting opportunities and sharing a cup of coffee with a friend entertaining.  You won’t find a lot of industry.  Well, unless you consider farming, logging, country stores, produce stands, etc.,  as way of making a living.  You won’t find any symphonies.  Well, unless you consider birds singing as one of the most melodious sounds you’ve ever heard.  You won’t find any Societies or Country Clubs.  Well, unless you consider a group of folks who belong to the same church or Sunday school class such a group.  You won’t find any colleges or universities.  Well, unless you consider the school of common sense, hard work and fear of The Lord as knowledge.

Please visit us soon and often.  Travel that country road to the end of the County and experience it for yourself or subscribe to this blog and experience it through the lives of others.  You won’t be disappointed.  We promise.
